Hosted by Smoke DZA, the event transformed the Steel Pier into a celebration of New Jersey cannabis culture. High Times publisher Josh Kesselman opened the night by lighting a giant blunt and walking it through the crowd before the awards ceremony began.

A Scene That’s Only Getting Bigger
New Jersey’s adult-use cannabis market officially launched in April 2022. Four years later, the state is producing flower, concentrates, vape products and edibles capable of filling a 13-category competition with serious depth.
The Steel Pier crowd reflected that growth: dispensary owners, cultivators, extractors, brand founders, content creators, legacy growers and cannabis fans all gathered on a closed-off Atlantic City boardwalk for the state’s biggest cannabis awards night to date.
The New Jersey High Times Cannabis Cup is now firmly part of the state’s cannabis calendar — and the next round is already on the horizon.
